Role: Senior SQL Server / PowerBI DeveloperLocation: Wilmington/DE (Hybrid Role- 3 days onsite)Duration: 12-24 month position with possibility of extension.

High-level Position/Job Description: Create, maintain, and tune quality SQL Server reporting deliverables using PowerBI and SSRSCreate, maintain, and tune complex T-SLQ SQL Server based custom reports and stored proceduresCreate, maintain, and tune interfaces with SSIS based interfaces and stored proceduresAccurately develop MS SQL Server T-SQL database queries, reports, data loads/extracts in a logical manner from scratch.

Minimum Background, Skills, and Competencies:7 years of experience as a MS Server T-SQL Developer or similar roleStrong experience with MS Server Power BI, SSRS, and SSISBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subjectA strong MS Server T-SQL developer who can quickly come up to speed on an existing and complex SQL Server database underlying a leading income tax processing COTS productExtensive experience in all aspects of T-SQL programming.5-7 years of experience with SQL Server PowerBI3-5 years of experience with creating/maintaining interfaces using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) ETL Tool or another ETL productExtensive experience working with large sets of data and resolving data-oriented issues.Extensive experience in tuning queries for optimal performanceAble to work independently with minimal directionAbility to work directly with business users to translate business requests/requirements into appropriate designsPossesses excellent communication skillsAbility to investigate and identify query performance related issuesPossess Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsTeam playerGood time-management skillsSense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on team’s success

Preferred Background, Skills, and Competencies:Experience in data warehouse architecture / design / support
