Job Description:
Position Summary The Credit Assistance Technology Data Team is currently focused on several initiatives. The Hadoop Developer will join one of our scrum teams in order to deliver critical features for our software products. In-scope initiatives include building new schemas in Hadoop and migrating legacy application data to the Strategic Data Platform; writing Python or Scala/Spark code to crunch millions of rows of data into more meaningful, analytics data models; partner with Line of Business (LOB) contacts in order to create the flow of data from source systems to the Strategy Decision Engine (SDE), our brain for Collections activities; and work with the Digital organization to integrate our brain with the Banks artificial intelligence, Erica. We are on-boarding all of the Banks products to the SDE over the next few years and expanding into real-time data processing for phone, mobile, and web-based interactions in the near future. Primary Skill Hadoop Required Skills- Knowledge of object-oriented programming
- Detail-oriented
- 3- 5 years of IT experience
- 3- 5 years of Hadoop experience
- Good programming skills using Hadoop, Hive, HQL, Spark, Java, Scala, PySpark, Sqoop
- Experience working with source control
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly and communicate proposed solutions
- Knowledge and experience with Performance tuning code
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience working in an agile team
- Python is desired skill ETL
