Our client in Wilmington, DE is looking for a Software QA Automation Lead to join their team. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to grow a team.

Position Description:

  • Will help grow the company's QA Team from the ground up to eventually lead a team of 2-5 people
  • Develop test driven QA approach with automation that fit the overall company strategy.
  • Define and build robust and reusable Automation frameworks and retain accountability for ensuring all Test Automation Analysts understand and adhere to the framework.
  • Track Automation execution metrics and report results to development managers and technology executives.
  • Scope Quality Engineering engagements, including delivery effort and external dependencies for test automation.
  • Ensure automation frameworks meet requirements and coding standards.
  • Create & maintain mocks/stubs/harnesses/ virtual services for all testing.
  • Participate in code & design reviews and assist developers in designing testable code.
  • Test Planning and assisting developers in designing automated unit & integration tests.
  • Defect reporting and tracking.
  • Identify test environment requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience including software development and/or QA test automation experience
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team
  • Knowledge of object-orientated design and coding skills in Java technology stack
  • Experience writing test automation code (preferably in Java, Javascript, Cucumber, Selenium)
  • Experience in writing reusable regression test cases for APIs using Soap UI and Postman and building, and maintaining a test case library
  • Experience with leveraging cloud platforms (Azure is preferred but not required)
  • Experienced with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
  • Experience of database testing including designing and manipulating test data using SQL server.
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
