Piper Companies is currently seeking an experienced

MSSQL Database Administrator for a growing consulting organization located in

New Castle, DE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MS SQL as well as SSIS, SSRS, and SSMS experience. This role will require being on-site in a hybrid capacity in New Castle, DE.

Responsibilities for the Database Administrator:

Be able to take a leadership role in design/architecture of Database platforms both on premise and in the cloud
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
Performance tuning, query optimization, & index tuning.
Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
Identify opportunities for improved performance in SQL operations and implementations
Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues

Qualifications of the Database Administrator:

7+ years of experience in MSSQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and SSMS
Strong experience in Database administration, stored procedure authoring, migrations, and documentation
Hands on experience with Visual FoxPro is highly preferred
Extensive expertise in vendor management to accomplish a backlog of short and long term activities pertaining to Database management

Compensation for the Database Administrator:

Salary: $110,000-120,000 annually
