1st Class Structural Steel Fitter Needed

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Structural Fitters for an immediate start in New Castle, DE!

PAY: $25-$33/hour (based upon experience)

HOURS: Shifts will be 8 to 10-hour workdays, 5 days per week (40-50 hours/ week)

SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 5:30 pm

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: Temp-to-hire

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work on various structural projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties:

-Perform welding tasks using stick welding.

-Assemble components and structures by interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

-Utilize hand tools and machinery for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.

-Conduct pipe threading and rigging operations as needed for project requirements.

-Inspect completed welds for quality assurance and compliance with safety standards.

-Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

-Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements:

-Must be proficient in stick welding.

-Must have experience in structural steel fabrication.

-Must have advanced blueprint reading skills.

-Strong skills in building and assembling metal structures according to specifications.

-Knowledge of pipe threading techniques and rigging practices.

-Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
