Coordinate, plan, conduct, and manage statistical operations for assigned testing programs and projects, to include developing and managing procedures, processes, and work schedules.

Responsibilities

Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function.

Technical and Programming Expertise:

Perform statistical analysis and data processing tasks that require an understanding of statistics and measurement (e.g., multiple regression, reliability, validity) by using ETS proprietary software, Excel, and statistical software packages such as SAS.

Write and design new code or revise existing programs to perform statistical analyses.

Consult with data analysis colleagues to design and implement processes with an emphasis on automation through software programs such as SAS to ensure deliverables are consistently created accurately and efficiently.

Assist in the implementation and support of new systems for processing statistical data to improve the functional capabilities within our area.

Create, modify, and validate critical components of statistical procedures and reports, score reporting, and technical documentation for internal or external clients.

Quality and Process Improvements:

Participate in activities to proactively work toward shorter cycle time and reduced costs, greater customer satisfaction, and quality maintenance. Suggest areas in which greater efficiencies might be obtained and partner with higher-level staff to implement relevant changes.

Identify and help resolve data-related problems and evaluate reasonableness based on specialized program and technical knowledge. Exercise sound judgment and knowledge of standard operating procedures when performing quality control of complex statistical operations.

In compliance with ISO 9001 standards, utilize best practices and suggest improvements to established procedures when necessary to achieve 100% quality in all work products.

Project and Resource Management:

Participates in and may coordinate requests for data and data interpretation for internal staff and external clients. In collaboration with psychometricians, provide statistical analysis support and prepare tables and graphics for research reports and special studies.

Manage competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines even in light of unexpected challenges and schedule changes. Commit to meeting all service level agreements and client obligations.

Maintain confidentiality and follow or create appropriate safeguards for test information including answer keys and test design as well as test takers' personal information and test performance.

Training and Mentoring:

Assist with area-wide staff training and development initiatives through one-on?one mentoring and small group training exercises.

Education, Certifications, or Special LicensesA Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology or a closely related field is required.Relevant Years of Experience RequiredTwo years of experience in managing and coordinating statistical analysis and data processing operations and in performing data analysis by utilizing various types of statistical software packages or programming languages (e.g. SAS, SPSS, or R) is required. Basic or intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word sufficient to create text and tables for memos and reports is required. Basic or intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel in performing basic data entry, creating and utilizing formulas, efficiently organizing data and information, and analyzing and displaying data is required.ETS believes in a Total Rewards philosophy for our employees, and they include:
