Job Description:

This great opportunity engages you directly with the dynamics of a highly technical global team. As a member of the team, you will be directly involved in the technical and business decisions that drive high impact and long-range sourcing initiatives. As a part of Agilent's Life Sciences and Diagnostics Group you will work alongside talented professionals who help make Agilent one of the world's leaders in the industry. You'll have the opportunity to work with other Agilent divisions, external suppliers and contract manufacturers as you devise unique ways to achieve outstanding business results.

Major responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer include:

-Providing plastics expertise to Manufacturing and R&D Engineers. This includes rapid prototype process and material selections to part and mold design consulting for manufacturability. -Leveraging a working knowledge of plastic components to support failure analysis of materials for new product releases, production, and field returns. -Manage supplier activities in mold design, material selection, color matching, and quality assurance processes to manage prototype schedules and correct production issues timely and effectively. -Ensuring specialized parts and assemblies meet Agilent's high expectations for quality, reliability, cost, and product safety. -Directly involved in driving supplier quality programs and setting strategic direction. You will participate in supplier selection, evaluation and management. -Working in partnership with New Product Introduction teams utilizing design reviews to optimize part design for DFX and global sourcing. -Working on the development and implementation of a technology roadmap in the plastics commodity and advancing the use of technology in production. -Working as a global team member to develop and implement worldwide sourcing strategies.
