Job Description : aria-hidden="true" We are looking for a technical writer to support Corporate Policy Office (CPO) in the creation and modification of policies, standards and procedures. This role will work with the CPO and document owners to create or modify concise and consistent governance documentation in accordance with newly created frameworks for document categorization (policy vs standard vs procedure) and document roles and responsibilities. This individual will also assist with implementing a numerical assignment system for documents in the policy library and building out a dictionary of standard definitions for reference in governance documents. aria-hidden="true" aria-hidden="true" Objectives of this Role- Work with the CPO to gain an understanding of the established roadmap for realigning governance documents currently in the enterprise document library to the new document categorization framework.
- Engage independently with stakeholders to assist them in rewriting their governance documents as needed to align to the roadmap and conform to the updated document template newly developed style guide.
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write governance documentation.
- Apply new numerical assignment system to all library documents and assign numerical IDs to each.
- Quickly obtain a deep understanding of the subject matter to translate complex information into simple and precise content.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
- 2-4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer aria-hidden="true" Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Significant previous experience with writing policy/standard/procedure documentation
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
- Proven ability to work independently with stakeholders and apply frameworks.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and work independently. aria-hidden="true" Bonus – Previous experience writing policy documentation within financial sector. aria-hidden="true" Bonus – Previous experience with WDesk (Workiva)
