AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water Resource Engineer/Discipline Lead to join our Transportation Business Line preferably based out of our Newark, Delaware office.  In this position, you will work directly with our staff and clients to deliver waterway permitting, erosion and sediment pollution control plans, stormwater management design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies and highway drainage design. Experience with PennDOT, as well as the PA Turnpike, PADEP, DelDOT and other Greater Pennsylvania agencies is highly desired.The ideal candidate will perform the following duties, but will not be limited to:Lead, prepare or review detailed design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, permit applications, construction drawings and specifications.Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, assist with annual performance evaluations, support the professional development of junior engineers, assist with reporting project status and responsible to deliver elements of design within the project schedule and budget.Coordinate interdisciplinary design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers.Utilize modeling software applications for efficient design and coordination.Enhance client relationships as it pertains to our water resource capabilities.May assist with staffing and business development.Mentor engineers and designers within the group, both locally and throughout the Greater PA area.The Greater Pennsylvania (GPA) Water Resources (WR) group at AECOM is made up of approximately 25 diverse and driven team members including engineers, designers, drafters and managers with experience levels ranging from college intern up through senior leaders who all work collaboratively to teach, learn and deliver our projects both externally to our clients and internally to our respective interdisciplinary team leads. Located throughout the Greater Pennsylvania area with offices in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Conshohocken, Mechanicsburg and Newark DE we work cohesively as one unit to not only prepare work of the highest level of quality, but to also continually develop and evolve our team.
