Agile Project Manager to lead a new program focused on extracting and creating value out of our customer’s enterprise-wide data collection and analysis activities. The right candidate has a proven track record of building and leading Agile-based technology programs in the Federal market. Candidates are preferred who possess background in some/all of the following services: Data Governance, Data Analytics, Data Science, Geospatial, Strategic Agile Development, Azure Cloud. The

Agile

Project Manager will lead the execution and delivery of an Agile enterprise-wide data program for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You must have experience and a passion for data, the bigger the data challenge the better! Primary responsibilities include the ability to lead team of practitioners in Data Governance, Data Analytics, Data Science, Geospatial, Strategic Agile Development, Azure Cloud. Additionally, Agile management experience with a large IT organization and system is desired, along with an understanding of data science principles in support of the data-based approaches of the project. The Project Manager must possess the technical acumen to serve as the main interface with the client, works with Solution Architect(s), development teams, trainers, requirements leads, and leads the project team through IT lifecycle.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Must love data/geospatial and solving real world challenges with data
  • Provide functional and administrative management of assigned staff. Must be able to work with remote staff.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Experience in managing a diverse group of functional activities with varying groups of technical and administrative personnel
  • Work with client decision makers on particular systems designs within the confines of client-mandated policies and governance
  • Interact with clients to elicit functional and system requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree and 7 years experience OR Masters Degree and 5 years related experience
  • 3 years of experience as Project Manager of Agile technology programs
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
  • Must have federal government Project Management experience as a contractor or Federal Employee

Preferred:
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Current DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)
  • Previous DHS experience
  • Familiarity with Azure and cloud technology
  • Experience with Oracle, Informatica, ESRI
  • Previous experience leading Agile programs
