WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Shift Manager, you are both coach and conductor — supporting the team, elevating the guest experience, and keeping operations flowing smoothly. On any given day, you might:

Lead from the floor:

Set the tone for hospitality — “yes whenever possible,” surprise, delight, and make it personal. Support servers, bartenders, and hosts with guidance, quick decisions, and solutions.

Create memorable guest moments:

Address concerns with empathy, grace, and calm problem-solving. Turn an issue into an opportunity for connection.

Drive operational excellence:

Oversee shift flow, quality, pacing, and team communication. Monitor standards for service, timing, presentation, and cleanliness.

Wrap up the shift:

Manage closing procedures: cleanliness, stocking, and readiness for the next day. Complete paperwork, cash reconciliation, and pass along shift notes to management.
