Our government client is looking for an Application Tester to join their team.

Responsibilities of the Application Tester:
  • Plan and develop functional test plans and for all phases of testing
  • Design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts
  • Generate test data
  • Verify results and produce test summaries and defect reports
  • Identify defects and requirement discrepancies
  • Generate defect change requests and reporting discrepancies
  • Determine test objectives and standards by reviewing customer requirements
  • Conduct application testing of web based systems
  • Capture and document artifacts and records defects
  • Verify and validate testing results by accessing and querying databases using MS Access or SQL
  • Report test outcome by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, and displaying data
  • Resolve testing problems by modifying testing methods during tests
  • Participate in design reviews, analysis walkthroughs, and Peer Reviews

Requirements of the Application Tester:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years of related experience
  • Must have working knowledge of Rational ClearQuest & Rational ClearCase
