Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group and a Non-Profit located in Washington, DC have together to find a

Business Systems Analyst. This is a direct hire role with a hybrid work schedule (2 days/week onsite). They offer a $100 per month technology reimbursement to offset the cost of working remote. The Analyst manages IT projects; elicits and documents requirements from staff; works with partners to develop specifications; develops test plans and coordinates/conducts testing; ensures the optimization of its business applications; provides recommendations on system improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT projects as assigned and ensure the projects are executed using organizational SLDC processes
  • Assist in the development of IT project requests including business rationale as requested; evaluate project requests for business impact, complexity, and risk
  • Obtain requirements from staff using industry-standard techniques (interviews, document review, business flow analysis, use cases/user stories, and flowcharts)
  • Create/review project specifications for technical and functional accuracy
  • Investigate/resolve issues with the AMS or integration with other SAAS systems (software bugs, exception handling, user error, automated process failures, etc.)
  • Provide process reviews; identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and actively promote business change
  • Develop/update standard curriculum for staff training on AMS modules; provide training on AMS as required

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other degree emphasizing Business Analysis preferred
  • 3 years of experience in business analysis, eliciting/documenting requirements, modeling business processes, and developing requirement specifications
  • 3 years of experience documenting IT test plans and performing IT testing preferred
  • Experience with Association Management System (AMS) (NetForum preferred) and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (Salesforce preferred)
  • Work Status: due to government requirements, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
