Case Analyst / Federal / Paralegal

Location: Washington, DC

6 Month TTH

Must be a US Citizen

Pay: $60,000 - $64,480

This position is normally working 100% onsite. With COVID-19 here is how it is working temporarily - New employees who are training for their new duties will need to be on site for about a month. After that, they will be able to telework and only have to come into the office about one day every other week. However, there has been a pattern from our client requiring more and more people to work onsite, so this could change at a moment's notice. Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Case Analyst.

Case Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Solid experience dealing with the federal court system and has knowledge of litigation cycles that are comparable to those of Civil Division cases.
  • Manage frequent contact with the COR, attorneys, branch directors, and other Civil Division personnel

  • Interview attorneys at multiple building locations and gather and maintain current, consistent and complete case information and make the necessary updates to the application/database
  • Complete a minimum of 10 interviews/week and complete follow-up actions within 5 business days of interviews
  • Prepare and process Civil Division forms that dispose a stage or close a case
  • Analyze computer-generated reports for omissions, inconsistencies, and anomalies in the data
  • Recommend reports which identify omissions, inconsistencies and anomalies in data
  • Research and analyze case documents and tools such as Lexis to resolve database problems or update data
  • Enter data into the application/database
  • Maintain weekly work reports
  • Provide user support for CIMS and its associated modules, case tracking, and disposition and closure procedures, includes writing procedures and providing user training (one-on-one or group sessions)

Case Analyst Requirements:
  • BS. or a B.A. degree
