More About the Role:

As a Correspondence Analyst / Editor, you will provide editing and correspondence services to a Federal client:
  • Understand complex programs and policies to assist in the creation of messaging documents such as executive presentations and web content;
  • Design, write, format, update, and edit material for correspondence, reports, publications, newsletters, and website postings that include technical narratives, policies, procedures, webinars, and computerbased applications;
  • Write and edit documents of a technical nature, ensuring technical accuracy, proper grammar, and consistency of style, conciseness, understandably, and proper format;
  • Prepare written technical material for publication by developing and editing drafts, correcting errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax; verifying facts, data, and statistics, using standard reference sources; and rewriting or modifying drafts to conform to the writing guidelines in the United States Government Printing Office Style Manual;
  • Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology; and
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing and analyze the needs of the target audience.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English and five (5) years of experience writing and editing technical reports and technical documentation using word processing systems (Word), desktop publishing (Publisher), presentation systems (PowerPoint), Adobe systems, and spreadsheet systems (Excel);
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with three to five years of experience creating highly-visible communications collateral for U.S. Government entities is acceptable;
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust level access as granted by the customer.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Editing experience in a federal or government environment; and
  • Experience using a correspondence management system in a federal or government environment.
