This position is normally working 100% onsite. With COVID-19 the position is currently working one day a week onsite and 4 days a week telework. This could change based on the government's direction.

Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Data Analysis Manager.

Data Analysis Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive oversight and direction to staff supporting two functional areas consisting of a technical report development and analysis team and an operational data integrity team.
  • Recruit, train, develop and supervise employees in assigned functional areas.
  • Monitor the completion of work assignments and resolution of problems and ensure the accuracy and timely performance of all contract tasks in assigned functional areas.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and contract requirements.
  • Analyze the functional area procedures and the quality assurance reports from an independent quality assurance contractor and recommend approaches to reinforce the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.
  • Investigate problems, identify the causes, and implement solutions to correct the problems and to prevent them from recurring.
  • Develop government-approved procedures that streamline and speed workflow.
  • Review and analyze the products produced by staff and suggest other products which could be developed to assist attorneys and managers.
  • Oversee the report request process: track requests submitted, assign and prioritize requests, approve reports, etc.
  • Oversee the development and design of reports: examine and interpret report results, identify errors, incomplete/inaccurate data and data anomalies, review report formats, etc.
  • Write SQL statements in conjunction with using reporting software to extract data and present results in required formats.
  • Knowledgeable of all requirements within assigned functional areas and able to perform tasks conducted by staff.
  • Monitor productivity, accuracy rates and turnaround times for all assigned functional areas.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of work performed by staff.
  • Produce status and production reports.
  • Manage frequent contact with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and other government personnel.
  • Ensure that all assigned functional areas have current and accurate written COR-approved procedures manuals and memos and ensure that all personnel in the assigned functional areas are trained in the approved procedures and processes; and
  • Serve as back up program manager when needed.

Data Analysis Manager Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree with specific credits in computer science or equivalent experience, i.e., 4 years of experience in a professional, analytical occupation, working with relational databases for the purpose of data extraction.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Able to simultaneously manage multiple time-critical activities involving different labor categories.
  • Must have experience working with large relational databases and extracting and breaking down and interpreting complex data and associated business rules.
  • Able to produce finished reports containing analyses and recommendations.
  • Must have strong understanding of SQL and be able to write code to extract data from complex databases.
  • Must have knowledge of automate Excel reports and be able to utilize advance features such as VBA macros.
  • Must be able utilize PowerPoint to produce graphic depictions of data and trends.
  • Knowledge of MS Access a plus.
  • Able to work in demanding and deadline driven environment.
  • Able to anticipate needs in assigned functional areas and recommend enhancements that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Excellent management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience and proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Experience and proficiency with Crystal Reports XI (or other software query tools).
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and effective oral communication skills; and
  • Experience in a legal environment a plus.
  • 4 years of experience in a position monitoring, extracting, analyzing and drawing insights from data.
  • The ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in a legal environment is a plus.
