- Advanced degree from an accredited university plus a minimum of 8 years of progressive data privacy and protection work experience in regulated industries OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited university plus a minimum of 10 years of progressive data privacy and protection work experience in regulated industries.
- Candidate must possess globally recognized data privacy professional certifications. This includes certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/EU (Certified Information Privacy Professional) and other IAPP, ISACA issued privacy certifications.
- Knowledge and work experience with privacy laws, directives (e.g., EU, US federal, and international privacy requirements and other regulations) relating to the protection of sensitive personal information.
- Experience with conducting data discovery/data mapping, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) in diverse operational environments, as well as experience implementing Privacy-by-Default and Design.
- Experience collaborating with privacy, legal, security and compliance teams.
- General knowledge of IT/Cyber security principles such as access management, encryption, multifactor authentication, data loss prevention, e-discovery, etc.
- Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office365-Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio, and Word.
