We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will be a data scientist who has experience gathering and analyzing user requirements, implementing requirements, and maintaining data warehouses, ETL jobs, and reports from multiple platforms. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed; meet the education and work experience required; and must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties, in addition to the below, may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Employer-based sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience working in a Data Scientist or similar role
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • At least 2 years working in technical data analytics, data warehouses, and ETL

Essential Job Functions
  • Work with product owners in an Agile development environment to gather and implement reporting and data requirements
  • Create and maintain complex Tableau, Spotfire, and/or Crystal Reports
  • Operate and maintain data warehouse environments, including updates and maintenance of ETL jobs, data sources, and data interfaces
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement related to data analytics, data warehouses, stored procedures, and other data-related tools/activities

  • Strong customer service/client facing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-managements skills with an ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and implementing user reporting and data requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with the following tools, technologies, and concepts: Microsoft SQL Server, Python, ETL, scheduled jobs, CRON jobs, Tableau, Spotfire, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Power Platform

Preferred Skills
  • Understanding or experience with using MuleSoft to pull data from Salesforce-based systems
  • Development experience with .NET applications and/or .NET-based reports
  • Experience working with Federal Government customers

    : Telecommuting with limited travel to D.C. Candidates should be located within the Northern Virgina, DC, and Maryland area.
