OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The patient coordinator / receptionist candidates must have the ability to effectively manage patient expectations and communicate effectively with other team members. Excellent verbal and written communication of both technical and customer issues is critical. This position’s responsibilities include:
- Director of first impressions: Answering telephone and helping patients with scheduling needs, treatment coordination, and questions regarding treatments and services.
- Schedule appointments
- Send pre-treatment and post-treatment information to patients
- Greet patients
- Document treatment progress
- Data entry using electronic dental management software
- Communicate with patient’s referring doctors and obtain necessary records prior to appointments
- Financial consultation and collection of fees
- Run daily reports
- Generate treatment letters and proposals
- General administrative responsibilities
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Communication skills- excellent verbal and written skills
- Telephone handling
- Strong in service
- Computer- Data entry, reports, documents management, typing
- Management skills (resource planning, setting expectations, scheduling, mentoring, prioritizing).
- Oral communication (customer interaction, requirements analysis, training).

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have experience in service industry taking care of patient needs, have telephone skills to make customers feel special, attended, and taken care of, timely individual who is self motivated and disciplined, enjoys working with systems and protocols in place and thrives on achieving results. The ideal candidate will have great oral communication skills, voice, and ability to listen to customers, offer solutions, and take ownership of customer’s needs or problems. Experience in dental or medical field is not required, but candidate must be able to learn and adopt related terminology and information.

Kazemi Oral Surgery and Dental Implants is a boutique style, fee-for-service oral surgery practice in Bethesda, Maryland since 1997. We have worked with over 250 dentists in the Washington DC area, providing their patients high level of service and solutions to various oral conditions. We specialize in teeth extractions, dental implants, bone grafting procedures, jaw surgeries, and oral & facial trauma and pathology. We work closely with referring dentists of physicians and provide support to the doctors, their office, and team members.
