Dental Excellence Holistic Center, located in Alexandria Virginia opened up in December 2016 and caters to a myriad of clients. We are looking for an energetic, self-driven, with initiative and multitasking Office Clerk with great people skills that will also work as Front Office Receptionist/Assistant (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Friday from 8:30 Am to closing, usually 5:30Pm) to join our thriving office team.

Our busy practice features specific Holistic Dental care along with other physical, mental, emotional, functional, and quantum Dental services.

Our office is primarily electronic and there is a minimum degree of paperwork (10-15%). Therefore, the position requires that the candidate is proficient with computers, types a minimum of 40 words per minute, and is proficient with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), ADOBE PDF/Acrobat, Browser, iPad, scanner, Fax and more PC driven shortcuts and applications.

A well-suited candidate for this position must possess outstanding communication skills (sales and/or medical and/or dental experience and knowledge of the holistic lifestyle preferred), be an energetic individual with a customer-service focus.

We will think of you as "the director of first impressions." You bring light/and life to every situation. Computer literacy is essential as duties will include filing insurance claims and detailed documentation.

We offer an exceptional work environment with a salary commensurate with your skills and capabilities. The starting salary ranges between $18-25 per hour, dependent on experience and performance with performance bonuses. 18-30 hours per week (see above schedule).

General Position Responsibilities for Front Desk/Assistance purpose:

· Will perform various administrative duties and ad-hoc projects

· Schedule appointments

· Maintain medical records and documentation

· Perform insurance verification and some billing task

· Answering calls for appointments and calling patients

· May assist the clinicians with patients

· Maintain records of purchased equipment, other medical or natural supplies

· Initiate and maintain correspondence with patients and insurance companies

· Assists with customer service with customer retention (follow-up calls)

Skills and Areas of Expertise

· Must have outstanding communication skills and must be caring towards patients

· Should be willing to work under pressure and be able to multi-task

· Must be understanding and answer all questions of the patients as simply as possible

· Must use discretion while maintaining patient confidentiality

· Must have a positive personality and be energetic

· Possess Task management skills and a proactive attitude towards tasks/projects

· Must possess computer literacy
