Job Title- ENTERPRISE DATA ARCHITECT with Integrations Background Location- Washington, DC (2 days a week, hybrid model) Job Type: Contract Responsibilities
- Minimum 12+ years overall IT experience.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience developing complex data integrations. Three (3) or more years of experience with integrations
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience designing complex data architectures for analytics and reporting.
- Advanced analytical and design skills, including the ability to abstract information requirements from real-world processes to understand information flows in computer systems.
- Integrates new systems with existing warehouse structure and refines system performance and functionality; develops strategies for enterprise data management and data governance.
- Provide architecture and technology leadership across the data lifecycle tools and services - ingest, prepare, analyze, archive, retire - utilizing AWS services and other COTS and open-source tools
- 5+ years' experience with relational and non-relational databases
- 5+ years' experience building enterprise-wide transactional applications
- Experience with AWS Redshift, and Pentaho Data Integrator/ETL tools
- Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration and experience managing data quality
- Ability to come up with a detailed architecture that includes infra, security, disaster recovery/BCP plans
- Demonstrated significant experience migrating data from legacy applications to new system solutions and keeping the data accessed by both and in sync throughout a phased migration
- Experience in data transformations, migration, statistical analysis, and troubleshooting across Platforms
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical details
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
- Write clear, detailed, concise documentation - architecture diagrams, reference architecture, data flows, data models (Conceptual, logical and physical), design, and implementation plan.
- Ability to represent relevant information in abstract models.
- Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with highly complex data quality and governance issues and requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of data management systems, practices and standards.
- Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle and data quality assurance.
- Experience applying modern data management frameworks and methods.
- Experience in data integration and the specification of data services.
- Familiarity with highly complex logical data design and data mapping or data conversion.
- In depth experience with SQL programming in relational and/or non-relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, AWS Redshift, HP Vertica and MySQL.
