Role:

Rock Hill is looking for a high energy and enthusiastic person with natural sales capabilities to join our farmers market sales team!

Responsibilities will include preparing for markets, setting up and breaking down our vendor booth, educating customers on the benefits of our products, and building relationships with customers and other market vendors.

Qualifications:

Have a can-do attitude and are a morning person through and through.

Are capable of lifting of heavy coolers (up to 50 pounds), tents, and tables.

Are passionate and knowledgeable about health and wellness.

Understand the value of buying local and supporting small businesses.

Have a passion for customer service and desire to improve each customer’s day.

Have excellent sales skills are confident, resilient, and observant.

Are willing to learn and take on new or different roles.

Are innovative and solutions-oriented in a constantly changing and unpredictable environment.

Are willing to wake up with (or before) the sun and work weekends.

Are able to contribute to a team-oriented environment but also take ownership of solo work.

Responsibilities:

Educate customers and sell our products from a place of passion

Drive to and from farmers market (must have valid driver's license)

Prepare supplies and stock for weekend

Load, transport, and set up market supplies

Complete purchases with a smartphone/tablet

Work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and additional, occasional weekday, events

Details:

Job Type: Part-time

Experience: Sales (1 year preferred), customer service (1 year preferred)

License: driver’s (required)

Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour. Travel pay if you travel 25 miles or more to and from a market. This is paid per weekend.

Benefits: Employee Discount, Farmers’ Market Vendor Discount (at markets)

Schedule: Friday - Sunday (required); sometimes Wednesday and Thursday

Shifts: Morning (required), mid-day (required)

Supplemental Pay: Each employee receives up to a $500.00 bonus for perfect attendance each season. If less than perfect attendance, the bonus is pro-rated.

100% attendance is required from Jan-June and we ask that no leave other than a family emergency result in absence from the market as this is our most productive time.

To keep our employees safe, we're providing face masks, gloves and hand sanitizer. Farmers markets have also implemented safety protocols with customers in terms of social distancing.
