This role will support a federal government agency within the national security sector with opportunities to expand your support to other national security-related organizations. Specific initiatives and work products that this role supports include:• Supporting financial reporting tasks, including preparing journal vouchers, reconciliations, variance analyses, Financial Audit Manual (FAM) Checklists, Government Treasury Account Symbol (GTAS) reporting, and other monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tasks in line with OMB Circular A-136• Providing a broad range of financial statement audit, audit risk management and remediation support that support the agency's goals to maintain a clean audit opinion.• Supporting client in developing and/or improving procedures for new and improved financial processes.• Assessing the impact of new guidance on financial operations and supporting the implementation of new guidance when applicable. In addition to client-facing responsibilities, this role will support important activities that contribute to the growth of our business, strengthen internal Guidehouse operations, and create a positive work environment for all Guidehouse employees, such as assisting in business development activities, including developing proposals and white papers, and supporting Guidehouse programs and initiatives for recruiting top talent to the company. Knowledge Preferred: Demonstrates knowledge in supporting federal clients in financial reporting and meeting the requirements of related federal guidance, including: OMB Circular A-136, the GAO Green Book, the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990, Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act of 1982 (FMFIA), Treasury Financial Manual (TFM), and GAO/PCIE Financial Audit Manual. These requirements should be evidenced when performing the following actions: • Proven ability to support and provide accurate financial reports and to bring collaboration to the process of working with financial systems; • Federal audit support, audit liaison, corrective action planning, and executing remediation with a focus on internal controls over financial reporting and management financial statement assertions;• Demonstrated GAAP accounting knowledge and understanding of Federal financial accounting standards and the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL); and• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal financial management, accounting, and budgetary business processes and experience with federal foreign assistance.

Demonstrates success in building solid relationships with clients; developing an awareness of Firm services; and communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner.

Demonstrates an ability to work in a team environment; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and shows ability to work on multiple concurrent work streams.

Required: • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience related to federal financial reporting• Bachelors Degree• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Oracle Business Suite• Knowledge of federal financial reporting regulations such as, OMB Circular A-136• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred:• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, Master’s degree in Accounting• CPA or CGFM
