Description Job Summary: The Tier 3 Help Desk Specialist is a senior-level IT support detail oriented responsible for resolving complex technical issues that require in-depth knowledge and expertise. They play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of the organization's IT systems. This role involves providing advanced technical support, collaborating with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams, and participating in IT projects to enhance system performance and user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1.Advanced Technical Support: Act as the final escalation point for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by Tier 1 and Tier 2 support. Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate hardware, software, and network problems. Develop and implement solutions to restore system functionality quickly. 2.Technical Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and software applications. Provide guidance and expertise to entry level support staff and assist in their detail oriented development. 3.Incident Management: Manage and prioritize incidents, ensuring timely resolution while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs). Document and track incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. 4.Infrastructure Optimization: Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and execute infrastructure improvements, updates, and upgrades. Identify areas for system enhancements to improve performance, security, and user experience. 5.IT Projects: Participate in IT projects, including system migrations, software deployments, and technology implementations. Provide technical expertise and support project teams to ensure successful outcomes. 6.Knowledge Sharing: Create and update documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials. Conduct training sessions or workshops for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to enhance their skills. 7.Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies and best practices to protect sensitive data and systems. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). 8.Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the IT field. Make recommendations for process improvements and technology enhancements. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a Tier 3 Help Desk Specialist or similar role. Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software. Expertise in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and productivity software. Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues. Deep understanding of network protocols, configurations, and security. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified detail oriented, Cisco CCNA/CCNP) are highly desirable. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
