If you are ready to take it to the next level in project management in a highly visible role, MetaPhase Consulting (MPC) is recruiting a Mid-Level Pr oject Manager with 5+ years of experience to lead a project supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the management of a Component Division's Front Office operations. Primary responsibilities include: multi-year strategic planning, knowledge management, budget administration , communications development, business process improvement, data analysis and reporting, project and program management, as well as executive task management . Basic Qualifications (Required)- M inimum of five or more (5 +) years ' experience leading cross-functional teams.
- PMP certification preferred, but not required.
- Excellent written acumen, stakeholder engagement, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation with strict attention to detail.
- Passionate self-starter driven by initiative and a commitment to excellence.
- A bility to cultivate and lead high-performing teams.
- Driven to provide coaching and mentorship to team members of all levels.
- Aptitude for creativity , innovation, analysis , process improvement, and problem-solving.
- Innate ability to convey complex concepts simplistically via Microsoft Office Suite products ( such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio).
- Current U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Public Trust or active Top Secret clearance required.
- Lead or support programs and projects involving communications , workforce engagement, organizational budget execution and administration, data visualization and reporting, as well as strategic planning.
- Lead or support process documentation and improvement efforts including evaluating the current state, identifying and prioritizing areas for improvement, and working with stakeholders to develop, document, i mplement , and sustain new processes.
- Proactively engage with others to identify challenges, recommend solutions, create value, integrate diverse perspectives, and manage expectations.
- Translate complex concepts and solutions into deliverables ranging from standard operating procedures, project management plans, and other guidance documents to PowerPoint presentations, one-pagers, newsletters, emails, job-aids, checklists, and other communication materials.
- U se Microsoft Excel and Power BI to analyze data and create visualizations to inform leadership decision making.
- Apply strong communication skills to build relationships, connect people, and support team members.
