$30/hr-Personal Assistant to Help Journalist with Home Office and Tech

Hi All,

I’m a friendly journalist in Chevy Chase, MD. I’m looking for upbeat, enthusiastic assistance with a variety of work. This would include home office, including tech and messaging, as well as general household assistance, such as decluttering, IKEA cabinet construction, and various other tasks. This does not include any cleaning as I have a housekeeper already. We are located right off Wisconsin Ave in walking distance of the metro and bus lines. We also have free and easy parking.

This week I am hosting a total of ten people on Thanksgiving and although we are doing much of the cooking ourselves (such as the turkey) we would appreciate your help with prep, serving, and cleanup. We are looking for assistance between 1pm and 7pm on Thanksgiving day.

We know that many of you may have your own Thanksgiving plans. But if you happen to be free to help that day we can use your enthusiastic assistance. We are doing a traditional Thanksgiving meal involving the usual array of dishesnothing too gourmet or complicated. All our guests are lively, interesting people who range in age from millennials on up. Of course we will be sharing our feast with you.

Well beyond Thanksgiving I could use your help in countless ways, including a post Thanksgiving party on Saturday November 29. This second November event will involve Bethesda Bagels and lots of other food and beverages. In addition, we could use your help in the future to do decluttering, assembling IKEA furniture, and various other household and home office work.
