Overview

Bowhead seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for an upcoming effort in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system and as such, works in close collaboration with Information System Security Manager (ISSM).• Work in close coordination with the ISSM(s) in monitoring the information system(s) and its environment of operation to include developing and updating the authorization documentation, implementing configuration management across authorization boundaries, to include assessing the security impact of those changes and making recommendation to the ISSM(s)• Manage Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance and quarterly reporting for Intelligence systems and networks and manage High Side Network (HSN) Integrated Product Team (ITP) and Configuration Control Board• Support system users, intelligence network infrastructures, and intelligence community PKI support• Provide intelligence IA security education, training, and awareness program and manage the protection and response to intelligence security incidents, which includes investigation and reporting • Perform the duties of Data Transfer Agent (DTA) Management for classified networks, ensure Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) acknowledgement and compliance, and assist in the development of IT procedures• Develop and ensure Two-Person Integrity (TPI) Management and Removable Media Management, quarterly reporting, and integration with system accreditation• Provide detection, scanning and monitoring of unauthorized wireless access points and equipment for secure facility

Qualifications

BA/S in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The ISSO shall have the detailed knowledge and expertise required to coordinate the security aspects of the classified networks and coordinate with responsible parties for the day-to-day security operations of a system, to include physical and environmental protection, incident handling, to include investigation and reporting, and security training and awareness.Eight years or more (8+) of relevant technical experience is required.Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
