1 year C2C contract for Instructional DesignerLocation –
REMOTE and a few days a week in Washington, DCPURPOSE Focus on design, development and revision of learning products for the organization through the analysis of learning/business needs, adult learning theory, partnering with subject matter experts, and the ongoing evaluation of programs to maintain accuracy and relevance. Learning products include online courses, instructional manuals, video tutorials, and learning simulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Assess, design and develop modular based training based on current training curriculum. Revision should support current business needs and utilize effective instructional design principles and practices.- Designs & develops high quality Instructor-led, eLearning, and multimedia course materials including: course design documents, course outlines, course descriptions, presentation slides, instructor guides, diagrams, exercises, job aids, and assessments- Creates visually appealing products that adhere to branding guidelines utilizing graphic, authoring, and video production tools. - Partners cross functionally to scope requirements, objectives, and deliver projects. Conducting front end analysis including needs assessment, task analysis, content analysis, and instructional analysis- Applies instructional design principles, methodologies and adult learning theories for better learning experiences.- Owns the end-to-end design and development process for assigned projects through consistent status updates, leading quality content/product reviews and lessons-learned discussions. QUALIFICATIONSEducation Level: Bachelor's DegreeEducation Details: Communication, Instructional Design, Technology, Education or related fieldExperience: 5 years experience as an instructional designer, trainer, training content developer or similar role in a corporate environment. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Instructional Design; experience developing learning material using multiple platforms (Microsoft, Camtasia). Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge of how web-based, multimedia and mobile technologies can be used to enhance learning, teaching and assessment Advanced ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.Advanced ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Advanced and effective written and interpersonal communication skills.Advanced knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)- ID: #49531518
