We are looking for IT Program Manager (Tech Implementation & Upgrades exp) (Min 16 Yrs exp) (Hybrid 1-3 days on site) (LOCAL Candidates highly preferred) (Webcam interviews) POSITION DESCRIPTION DIRECT CLIENT Position Number of positions: 1 Length: 12 Months + Location: Washington DC 20020 Immediate interviews either Webcam or In-person interviews Please note that this position requires 1-3 days onsite and rest REMOTE. Looking for a Sr. Program Manager with minimum 16 years of experience leading technology implementations and upgrades with Application development, Infrastructure, Quality Assurance and Testing, managing multiple projects at a time. PMP Certification is preferred. Agile certification is required. 16+ years of experience. Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks. The Program/Project Manager will lead and manage specific projects for the client. The Manager will work under Executive Direction to provide leadership in the planning, development and management of projects consistent with client's strategic goals and business objectives. The Manager shall be responsible for the entire project lifecycle from planning to implementation, including but not limited to, budgeting, resource allocation, progress reporting and project risk assessment & mitigation. The Manager will liaise with client's business & technology staff and external vendors. Key responsibilities include:
- Accountability and ownership for the successful implementation of assigned programs/projects working with key stakeholders to implement projects on time and within budget.
- Plan, co-ordinate and lead meetings and regularly communicate project status and updates to leadership, stakeholders and the team.
- Identify and communicate project risks, concerns & issues, and possible resolutions
- Work with key stakeholders to develop resource requirements and budget requirements to develop project plans
- Ensure all project documentation is compliant with contract agreements and regulations
- Leads end to end implementation planning, including project management, issue management communication and change management
- Drives project optimization by leveraging best practices and identifying opportunities for process improvement, to improve performance and reduce cost
