Overview
The Global Health Training, Advisory and Support Contract (GHTASC) delivers effective global health programming to advance the mission of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Global Health (GH) through institutional support and workforce development services from junior, mid-level, senior and expert advisory and administrative professionals. Credence and its partner, the Public Health Institute (PHI), are both employers for GHTASC, and are seeking a Jr Program Assistant in USAID's Global Health Bureau under GHTASC. Position Summary: The Junior Program Assistant will support USAID Bureau for Global Health's Center for Innovation and Impact (GH/CII) as a PHI Institutional Support Contractor (ISC). In this role, the selected candidate will provide support to the CII Director both administratively and as a strategic thought partner on leadership priorities, partnership dynamics, operational processes, and team-building efforts. Background: USAID's Center for Innovation and Impact (CII) takes strategic risks to incubate new ideas, put them into practice, and scale effective approaches for critical health issues. We apply our expertise in innovation, market-based solutions, and digital health to work in partnership and through institutional change. - Works in partnership across USAID and with external partners to deploy innovative practices and forge cross-sector collaborations
- Works across health areas, geographies, and specializations, sharing experiences and insights with the broader global health community
- Engages with the private sector to leverage private sector resources and innovative financing approaches
- Uses a human-centered design approach and respects local voices to ensure that populations in need and end-users are always the focus of our work.
- Scopes and acts on opportunities where our specialized expertise can fill a key need, efforts can be catalytic, and innovative partnerships and private sector engagement can be maximally leveraged.
- Assist in scheduling, support for hiring or on-boarding actions, and routine documentation
- Assist in preparing administrative reports, historical reports, and/or surveys
- Assist in performing special studies and preparing memos
- Assist in event planning and logistics
- Assist in strategic communications and knowledge management
- Assist in designing and coordinating clearance processes for CII Director and team
- Other duties as required
- Lead communications efforts, including development of written and visual assets
- Assist in developing strategic planning documents, team-building exercises, policies that reflect team values and culture, and preparing for full-team retreats
- Assist and help coordinate assigned projects
- Assist in the management of office mechanisms and awards, coordinating with relevant Agreement/Contracting Officer's Representatives (AORs/CORs) to ensure timely reporting
- Assist in quantitative data and qualitative analytics and any required synthesis of analytics into memos, slide decks, etc.
- Coordinate, organize, and liaise with members of working groups, Missions, and other USG agencies in support of program implementation, and attend working groups to advance USAID program objectives
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience, Associate degree in related field and 3 years relevant experience OR High School graduate and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- US citizenship or US permanent residency with the ability to obtain and maintain Facility Access required.
- International travel, ranging from 0-15%.
- Demonstrated general interest in international development and global health, and in particular demonstrated interest in CII's or the Global Health Bureau's work
- Experience in communications, including social media management
- Some knowledge of USAID rules, regulations and processes
