Job Description

Enlighten is looking for a more Junior Program Manager to provide leadership of a cloud big data program with a strong supportive technical team. The role requires knowledge of cloud computing technologies, program management concepts, and agile software development. The Jr. PM will be paired with a strong technical lead and Product Owner that will help them interface with the government contracting officer representative (COR) and the Enlighten management team. Will perform day-to-day management of the program and develops long-term and strategic objectives to help ensure that end user requirements will be satisfied in future years of the contract. Work is a hybrid role with about 3 days of on-site work in US Coast Guard Headquarters supporting our Coast Guard customer.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in customer meetings, trade shows, conferences with public speaking on company capabilities.
  • Responsible for numerous aspects of the contract to include program execution, meeting or exceeding delivery objectives and milestones, and outstanding cost performance.
  • Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, developing and executing project schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising personnel and communicating policies, procedures, and goals to team members.
  • Will work with the technical leads to oversee personnel and technical management of all tasks and will ensure that the full range of corporate resources is available to perform the required tasks.
  • Provides management oversight of all program personnel, both Enlighten and subcontractors, ensuring the highest quality of task completion and deliverables in accordance with the contract.
  • Performs horizontal integration planning, and interfaces frequently with other functional areas such as subcontracts, project control, and personnel security.
  • Ensures program deliverables and schedules are implemented in a timely manner; provides supervision, training, and direction to staff; and serves as the single point of contact for all customer issues or concerns.
  • Accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates during service delivery, and successful overall project completion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Security Clearance - A current U.S. government security clearance is not required on day 1, but will be processed for a Secret level and therefore all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. Happy to consider candidates with a current Secret level clearance.
  • 4 years of experience working with projects of similar scope, type and complexity and a Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity including Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
  • Must have prior experience supporting technical contracts for DoD customers (prefer prior experience with Coast Guard).
  • Ability to work with technical experts like Software Engineers and Product Owners to help support the customers needs.
  • Experience hitting project milestones, maintaining a project schedule, providing documentation, etc.
  • Superb communication skills and strong public speaking skills.
  • Strong knowledgeable and understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule with about 3 days of on-site work in US Coast Guard Headquarters supporting our Coast Guard customer.

Preferred Requirements

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is highly desired.
  • Prior experience managing technical contracts and prior technical skills is a huge plus.
  • Prior experience running a technical demo to customers.
  • Having prior experience with the U.S. Coast Guard is highly desired.
  • A current Secret level security clearance is desired.
