Kitchen Assistant – Mosun’s Kitchen

The Role:

We’re seeking a dependable Kitchen Assistant to join our growing culinary team. You'll support our Head Chef in prepping ingredients, cooking, plating dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth back-of-house operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist with food prep (cutting, marinating, seasoning, frying, etc.)

Help cook daily dishes according to traditional recipes and prep lists

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen space

Support food storage and inventory organization

Assist with washing dishes, pots, and utensils as needed

Be a team player and uphold the warm, respectful vibe Mosun’s is known for

Qualifications:

Kitchen experience preferred (but not required—we will train!)

Passion for African or global cuisine is a plus

Must be reliable, punctual, and open to learning

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions

Comfortable standing, lifting, and moving for extended periods
