Kitchen Designer – Remodeling Company

We are a remodeling company looking for a Kitchen Designer with strong design, technical, and sales experience to join our team. The right candidate will not only be creative and detail-oriented, but also comfortable working directly with clients, guiding them through design choices, and closing sales.

This position requires frequent travel to client homes throughout the DMV area (primarily in Virginia). You will be representing our company, so professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Travel to client homes for consultations, measurements, and design discussions

Guide clients through product and material selections with confidence and professionalism

Use 2020 Design software to create accurate, detailed, and visually appealing kitchen layouts and presentations

Present and explain design proposals to clients, addressing both functional needs and aesthetic preferences

Demonstrate strong sales ability: build rapport, establish trust, and help clients make informed decisions that lead to project commitments

Collaborate with our remodeling team to ensure smooth project transitions from design to construction

Manage time effectively and work independently without the need for constant supervision

Maintain clear and timely communication with clients and internal staff

Requirements:

Proven proficiency in 2020 Design software

Previous experience in kitchen and bath design (minimum 2 years preferred)

Sales experience is required – ability to close sales and achieve client commitments

Strong knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, and related kitchen materials

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (daily travel required, mostly in Virginia but occasionally throughout the DMV area)
