We're looking for a systems administrator who specializes in Linux System administration and automation of manual tasks and has a solid background in systems engineering and working with developers to help us build platforms and solutions to support our client in tracking and capturing criminals.As a systems administrator on our project, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is operation, functional, and has limited downtime for maintenance and patching. You will be involved in the use of open source products that facilitate infrastructure management using tools, including Puppet and Ganglia. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas including Big Data processing, Cloud computing, and in-memory database processing, such as Spark. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. - Knowledge of the VMware hypervisor environment in provisioning software
- Knowledge of government-wide system design
- Knowledge of methodology and federal information system policies, including NIST 800.53, FISMA, the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and configuration management
- Top Secret clearance
- HS Diploma or GED
- Experience in Cloud AWS
- Experience with the implementation of IT equipment and services preferred
- Experience with Big Data environments, including Hadoop, Accumulo, and provisioning software
- Bachelor's degree
- Linux Certification
