Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of the facility. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in a hands-on environment while providing essential support to the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure all systems are functioning properly.

- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep of the facility.

- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues under the guidance of senior maintenance staff.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance equipment, tools, and work areas.

- Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests from residents or management.

- Support the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to enhance the longevity of equipment and systems.

- Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance projects efficiently and effectively.

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inspections.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications is a plus.

- Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and repair techniques.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a maintenance role or related field.

- Familiarity with hand tools and power equipment.
