Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking requires a full-time Marketing Assistant for a Department of State project in Washington, DC. The Marketing Team is in the Recruitment Division of the Bureau of Global Talent Management (GTM/TAC/REC) manages advertising strategy and implementation of all aspects of the Department’s national recruitment efforts, including but not limited to working with other bureaus such as OBO, IRM, DS, MED, and CA.

- Support recruitment events and talent relationship management system, assist with marketing metrics, proofread, draft social media copy, and post content.
- Participate in developing ideas, gathering information, drafting, and editing content and will interact with online community members in a way that reflects well on GTM/TAC/REC and the U.S. Department of State’s recruitment efforts.
- Serves in GTM/TAC/REC and coordinates activities with the Marketing Team Leader.
- Must have a solid understanding of social media marketing and strong writing and proofreading skills.
- Responsible for the technical management of Yello, including conducting team training and maintaining current training manuals and standard operating procedures.
- Serves as technical backup for the Department’s careers website, Careers.State.Gov, and GovDelivery, a customer relationship management tool.
- Works closely with the Marketing Team Leader and Marketing Advisor to ensure the daily content management of GTM/TAC/REC’s social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Must have experience using social media management systems, exceptional technical and data analytic skills, and familiarity with customer relationship management tools.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and WordPress is a plus.

- Responds to user emails/questions
- Presents at biannual recruitment workshops
- Identifies new areas for growth in site usage
- Trains new individuals and coordinates group training sessions
- Runs reports on events, prospects, and partner schools/organizations
- Reviews and fixes event submissions
- Analyze metrics
- Writes and edits social media copy for vacancy announcements and events
- Writes and edits promotional emails, including html formatting
- Schedules content using Hootsuite, Yello, and GovDelivery
- Provides graphic design support for social media, including use of Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Assists with virtual career fair set-up
- Works with a variety of GTM/TAC/REC’s internal stakeholders and bureau partners to curate content
- Responds to social media comments
- Manages graphics and photo libraries in Canva and Box
- Assists in tracking analytics to assess related communications/marketing programs, including websites, mobile app, promotional emails, and social recruitment
- Incorporates tracking mechanisms into all social media content and provides metrics
- Collects information from Google Analytics and UTM codes
- Creates reports on varying weekly, monthly, and annual schedules using metrics from various sources.
- MUST have an Active Secret Clearance
- Must have a solid understanding of social media marketing and strong writing and proofreading skills.
