RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Network Admin.

Responsibilities: In this role, the Network Admin will perform technical administrative and troubleshooting duties for F5 and Broadcom Layer 7 network appliances Perform firewall administration and troubleshooting duties for Palo Alto, Forcepoint, Stonegate, and Cisco firewalls Provide network administration and troubleshooting duties for Cisco switches Provide network tool engineering and administration duties The Network Admin will work closely with senior network and systems engineers, building and maintaining complex networked appliances and systems Manage all aspects of the patching/hardening process for all production and non-production environments Prepare automation scripts in Ansible and MicroFocusNA using bash, perl or python Provide technical leadership and technical guidance on projects Participate in internal workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solutions Provide T2 level engineering support for environments Deliver technical documentation and user documentation as required As a Network Admin, you will provide on and off hours support to perform upgrades and patches

REQUIREMENTS: BS degree and 10-12 years of experience or MS degree and 8-10 years of experience; Or High School diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum of 14 years of experience 5+ years of IT experience Fundamental understanding and experience in TCP/IP networking Experience in Cisco networks, F5 load traffic managers, or Palo Alto firewall administration Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
