Hybrid - 2x a week onsite in either Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC.

Our government client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. We offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer:
  • Research, design, and implement security solutions for network infrastructure
  • Engineer network solutions for new and existing systems
  • Provide day-to-day network engineering and operations support
  • Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts
  • Challenge with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions
  • Work with highly experienced and technical resources

Requirements of the Network Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience; or, Master's degree and 6+ years of experience; active CCNP (or higher)
  • 7+ years of experience designing, configuring, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and routing protocols in a large enterprise network
  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus operating systems
  • 3+ years of experience with ahigh level scripting language
  • 2+ years of experience with Cisco Prime
  • Experience implementing IPv6 (SLAAC and DHCPv6)
  • Experience with Gigamon
  • Experience with Dynatrace
  • Experience configuring Zero Trust networks
  • Solid understanding of internetworking: security, routing, switching, SAN and application networking
  • Experience with Microsoft Server and Linux Administration
  • Expertise in Linux command-line environment
  • Experience with server hardware to include Dell, HP, or Cisco UCS
  • Experience with virtualization solutions (i.e., VMware)
  • Experience in using MS Visio, Project
