Job Description: Strategic Technology Partners LLC ( www.stpfederal.com ) has an opportunity for an OpenShift Container Engineer. This position involves leading the customer effort to migrate our applications to a RedHat OpenShift containerized platform. The position will involve analysis of current state environments followed by developing detailed technical plans for the migration of current on-prem business applications (without containers) to the AWS cloud containerized environment. Once technical plans are reviewed and approved, the team will execute the migration to the containerized cloud environment. As part of this team, you will have an opportunity to provide a significant positive impact to the mission of migrating mission critical business applications from on prem computing centers to the cloud. Required Job Skills:
  • Experience developing and testing automation software to deploy the container platform.
  • Experience developing detailed technical plans and presenting plans to all levels of the organization.
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift platforms and supporting containerized applications.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting using shell, Perl or Python is required
  • Working knowledge of container constructs in the Linux kernel (namespaces, SELinux, etc.) is a plus
  • Prior experience with CI/CD DevOps deployment tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and GitHub are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education Requirement : A bachelors degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field preferred

Security Requirement: Ability to obtain a Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required for this position. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or a Green card is required. No exceptions can be made, as this is required by the government contract. Candidates with an active Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) are preferred.

Location: The position is remote with occasional visits to the federal office for administrative matters.
