Serve as a point of contact on Book Manufacturing, and liaison between the prepress vendors and Client's Partners and other team members by facilitating as project manager to drive these publishing events to successful completion.The person selected for this role will be working with digital files of books that are developed on the digital system. The person will essentially be doing prepress work making sure everything in the file is intact to handoff to the printer. This person will be working with high level monitors (self-calibrating) and checking color for books that are published to ensure the color is correct.The person must have trafficking experience as this work is high volume and involves working on many projects simultaneously as well as working with different editor teams working on a variety of books (i.e. children, adult, etc.) This person will be working with 3rd party vendors from a variety of geographic regions.They will be using FileMaker Pro database with scheduling of book project timelines and must hit tight schedules. Someone with experience working with digital files that have layers (i.e. text, pictures, etc.) They will be giving the printers the go ahead on books and working closely with production. If the printer has questions, this person will be able to answer those questions as they will be working with the designers of the books.

ResponsibilitiesBuild project plans to hit key milestone deliverables from estimating to shipping.Day-to-day customer contact, management of all details related to ongoing projects, account development (sales) and ownership of overall brand and account strategy.Provide local support for sales, design and production.Effectively communicate with editorial, design, and project coordinators.Consult with vendors to adjust specifications for maximum manufacturing efficiency when applicable.Assist with other print production projects as neededServe as liaison of prepress vendor to various operational areas including but not limited to Customer Service, Estimating, Design Innovation, Scheduling, Purchasing, Press, Finishing, and Distribution.The ability to read, write and comprehend complex projects and be a pro-active problem "preventer” as well as a dynamic problem "solver”.

Requirements:2 years of experience in the Publishing IndustryExperience working with digital files that have layersMust be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess good follow-up skills and excellent communication and organizational skills.General understanding of the print process.The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Has the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Able to thrive in a team environment.
