Rate of Pay: $145,000 per year

Duties: Define, develop and modify software application modules or enterprise-wide software systems using disciplined development processes. Consult with customers, IT business analysts, architects and team members in the project planning process. Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities. Work closely with Architects and Development team to document the detailed design. Create technical design specifications and assist in sizing technical requirements. Work with customers to develop and analyze application packages and tools and determine optimum functionality requirements to meet those needs. Provide consultation on a TPF based systems architecture. Participate in Scrum activities, perform code reviews, and ensure software meets quality standards with automation and DevOps. Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and support of complex mission-critical business applications, including mainframe, client-server, and web-based applications. Perform or lead the deployment of new modules, upgrades, and fixes. Assist in the development of user guide, training, and technical documentation. Provide ongoing maintenance of applications, assist in the development of user guides, and training documentation. Develop reports and presentations for senior management, as needed.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field followed by 10 years of experience in the job offered or 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation. Experience must include: (1) System analysis and programming of TPF based travel industry mainframe systems; (2) Agile Framework projects; (3) Developing REST API, Web Services, XSLT and JSON; (4) Facilitating continuous integration and continuous delivery utilizing Jenkins; (5) Reservation and Ticketing systems; (6) Applications integration utilizing MuleSoft CloudHub; (7) z/OS Mainframe software configuration management using CA Endevor; (8) IBM z/TPF Application Programming (Assembler, TPFC/TPFC & TPFDF); (9) Messaging and Applications integration using IBM MQ; (10) Running batch jobs using IBM z/OS JCL; (11) IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances; (12) Project Management and Collaboration using Jira & Confluence; (13) Electronic data interchange using EDIFACT &Teletype Messaging (TTY); (14) TPF development using IBM TPF Toolkit; and (15) TSO/ISPF, IBM-Change and Information management Tools.
