Project Control Specialist

Labor Category / Position Title Sr Project Mgr performs tasks in preparing project schedules, forecasting and reporting for IT Safety and Security department. The Project Controls Specialist assists in analyzing the project schedules, resources, financial data and forecasted data to determine the outcome of a project in relation to the delivery dates and budget. Assists project managers in reviewing project deliverables, timelines, milestones, budgets, procurement and associated action items.

• Assists in setting up and maintaining project budgets.
• Establishes and maintains project schedules. Works closely with the Project Manager and cross-divisional team members on related deliverables for the schedules.
• Assists in forecasting and tracking total project budgets.
• Assists in reporting and general project support.
• Prepares meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
• Provides procurement assistance as needed.
• Project Controls Specialist assists in status updating on all projects.
• Project Controls Specialist supports project director/managers in various tasks as directed.

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Project Controls Specialist should possess 5+ years of related experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Project Professional experience is required with 2+ years of experience.
• Understands project resource, budget and forecasting management techniques.
• Proficient in use of MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to react promptly and efficiently to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and presentation skills.
• Capability to conduct research into project-related issues.
• Capability and willingness to learn, understand, and excel in a team environment.
