Retail Associate - Dog Grooming Store

Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming Arlington is looking to hire a Retail Associate. We are a dog grooming shop and retail shop. We carry food, treats, care products, and toys for dogs and cats. We also provide full service grooming as well. You must speak English fluently, love animals, and be friendly. You also need a high school diploma or GED at a minimum. This for a FULL TIME POSITION with pay starting at $13/hr. You will be given the opportunity to be promoted to Assistant Manager if you are reliable and great at your job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Maximize sales and provide a consistent customer experience

Book appointments and maintain the scheduling book

Communicate effectively with customers to determine needs

Develop exceptional relationships with current and prospective clients

Report and maintain appropriate inventory levels

Create and maintain personal clientele info with regular communication and

customer follow-up

Actively participate in merchandising standards

Assist staff in driving store initiatives

Actively support securing company assets through effective Loss Prevention in

compliance with company policies and procedures

Protect the Woof Gang Bakery brand message and philosophies by maintaining a professional and personal appearance

Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service.

Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers.

Achieving established goals.

Directing customers to merchandise within the store.

Increasing in store sales.

Superior product knowledge.

Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor.

Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers.

Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts.

Stocking and tracking inventory.

Daily cleaning of the shop, bathroom, and exterior.

Assisting the groomers with checking in and checking out the dogs.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Computer Skills:

POS system knowledge

Basic computer knowledge
