Job Description:

Essential Functions:
  • 70% Facilitates the team’s progress toward team goals.
  • Acts as the team facilitator and conducts the team level ceremonies to help the team focus on Iteration goals and improve team level performance.
  • Supports the team in managing their work in Jira or other agile tools.
  • Collects metrics in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, velocity and other metrics defined by the enterprise.
  • Supports team efforts in relentless improvement – Helps the team improve and take responsibility for their actions; facilitates the team retrospective.
  • Helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves, by partnering with the Agile coach or Release Train Engineer(RTE) where required.
  • Facilitates team meetings such as Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, Iteration Retrospective etc.
  • Ensures the DoD (Definition of done) and other team level working agreements are being followed.
  • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution within the team to improve team level performance and value delivery, partnering with Agile Coach or RTE/Sr. Scrum master where required.
  • 15% Tracks impediments and support the team or Agile Coach/Sr. Scrum master(RTE) in engaging the right stakeholders within the organization or partner organizations.
  • Supports the team in addressing and eliminating these issues to improve the likelihood of achieving the objectives of the Iteration.
  • Assists with internal and external communication and improves transparency.
  • 10% Supports the team’s efforts to continuously improve communications and relationships with other teams.
  • Coordinates work with other teams to improve flow and throughput.
  • Frequently represents the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS), or other ceremonies to plan and execute the work.
  • Helps the team remain aware of opportunities to engage and improve larger program effectiveness and partners with Agile Coach or RTE(Sr. Scrum Master) where required to drive those improvements.
  • Supports the team to build effective relationships with other supporting teams like User Experience, Architecture, Shared Services etc.
  • Helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog, and work with the team to facilitate a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
  • 5% Learns and exhibits the behaviors of a Lean-Agile Leader to nurture a Lean-Agile Mindset in the team, leadership and the program.
  • Participates in initiatives to improve business agility in the team/program/enterprise.
  • Identifies and supports the culture change required to improve agility.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.

Experience:
  • 3 years years in the use of Agile/Scrum/Lean/SAFe practices and methodology in delivering business/customer value; or in equivalent methodology in IT delivery.
  • In Lieu of Education.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Scrum Master or Kanban practitioner in prior role.
  • Experience being part of an Agile team and/or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Agile Release Train.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs).
  • Knowledge of Lean agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban etc., Proficient.
  • Excellent communication skills written and oral, Advanced.
  • Ability to prioritize work for self and teams, Proficient.
  • Demonstrate strong and clear accountability for program success , Proficient.
  • Ability to organize data for self and teams, Proficient.
