Job Description

The Aerospace Industry Analyst for Forecasts & MRO (maintenance-repair-overhaul) provides research and analysis on the global civil aerospace sector (commercial, business & helicopter) and related aircraft MRO services market to worldwide clients. The candidate will work with Aviation Week Intelligence Network’s (AWN) Intelligence & Data Services team to become the in-house expert on trends and drivers within the civil MRO market. This will be achieved through supporting and enhancing AWN’s market-facing products and databases. The candidate will be expected to collect, analyze, and present well-researched findings on the ever-changing global aftermarket services sector. The key is for the incumbent to have a data-driven, analytical mindset, with great interpersonal skills to help deliver findings internally and externally.

A successful individual must be able to build personal relationships to create a network of human sources for information gathering augmenting more formal research. The incumbent must also be skilled at accomplishing analytical research independently while working within cross-functional teams. Helping to develop and nurture customers and products through supporting marketing and sales efforts by providing analysis for content marketing, online products and custom data/consulting projects is vital.

The ability to create briefings/presentations using Microsoft Office products and the ability to deliver findings virtually and in person at trade shows is important too. Previous aviation industry experience in analysis, maintenance, piloting or aircraft operation experience is valued. A passion for aircraft, aircraft maintenance, and or aerospace is important.

Position Roles and Responsibilities:This position focuses on the delivery of research and analysis on the aerospace MRO sector for Aviation Week Intelligence Network’s (AWN) Intelligence & Data Services team. The selected candidate will build on existing expertise in the aerospace sector to deliver timely, market-leading analysis and forecasting for the MRO market.Responsibilities will include:

  • Provision of research and analysis of global aerospace aftermarket costs and trends in support of data products and services offered by AWN.
  • Delivery of findings through databases, reports, and presentations to customers.
  • Creation of original analytical content for AWN publications, webinars, and conferences.
  • Development of a personal network of industry sources for the purposes of information gathering.
  • Development of new research methods and techniques in support of the continuous improvement of the accuracy of data and forecasting provided by AWN.
  • Support of marketing and sales efforts through creation of insightful analysis and published content.
  • Direct interaction with AWN clients and partners in support of business goals.
  • Assist in the enhancement of existing products and creation of new products for online consumption.
  • Attend trade shows to gather information, represent the organization, and present key findings at public events.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the commercial/civil aerospace and MRO sector.
  • Proven ability to collect, analyzing, and present findings from large datasets.
  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently in support of wider team and organizational goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong writing skills to support the delivery of editorial content and analytical reports.
  • Familiarity with client facing activities including the delivery of online and in-person briefings.
  • Bachelor's degree, related field.
