Senior Golang Engineer

Job Description A remote-first startup has built a Kubernetes-native open-source product is looking for a Staff Engineer to evangelize their tool to the open source community. The CTO was an early developer at Google Cloud, and one of the main issues they ran into when adopting containers and Kubernetes was managing these resources for optimization and cost. After leaving Google Cloud Platform, they created this open source tool that software developers can use to get real-time cost visibility and insights, such as getting costs down to deployments, service, and namespace labels; having a single view of costs across multiple clusters or through a single API endpoint; and receive optimization recommendations to reduce spend without sacrificing performance. Their sales has grown mainly though word of mouth and their enterprise clients now include GitLab, Capital One, Adobe, TiVo, FreshBooks and more. After securing a Series A round early this year they are set to hire about 8 software engineers to the team. Their tech stack is React, Golang, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Google Cloud Platform. They don't require direct overlap with their tech stack, but a willingness to learn is required. They are a remote-first company, and you can work remotely anywhere in the world. They are not picky on time zone, so feel free to work your normal 9-5 in your local time zone.
