Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a SharePoint Developer to join an effort to migrate the Intranet portal for a major Federal agency from the SharePoint Online Classic experience to the SharePoint Online Modern experience. If you have experience designing and configuring Communication Sites in SharePoint Online Modern and making them look and function their best, and you're looking for a great place to apply and extend that experience, this position is for you!

You will support the project team as a junior SharePoint Developer, interpret customer requirements, and recommend and implement the best solutions that SharePoint Online Modern has to offer to fulfill those requirements. You'll work with the customer and the project team to arrange page layouts in the optimal manner and assist the lead developer with the migration of data into the new site. You'll also assist as needed with operations and maintenance tasks, as well as supporting content management efforts as needed.

This position can currently be worked remotely, however there may be a requirement to work a hybrid schedule in person on-site in the Washington, DC office in the future per client discretion.

What you will do

  • Work with stakeholders to design and implement the theme, header, navigation style, and footer for the Modern site.
  • Apply page layouts and Modern web parts to implement the optimal design for site pages.
  • Implement global term groups, term sets, and terms.
  • Support ongoing system operations, including implementation of new sites and changes to existing sites requested by stakeholders, both in Classic and Modern.
  • Research and resolve stakeholder issues as needed.
  • Support ongoing content management efforts as needed.

What you must have

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Excellent understanding of both the SharePoint Online Classic experience and SharePoint Online Modern experience, and the differences between the two.
  • Experience with migrating Classic Publishing sites to Modern Communication sites.
  • Experience with designing and configuring sites and individual pages within those sites in SharePoint Online Modern.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Bonus points for

  • Experience with development and implementation of Power Automate flows.
  • Experience with PnP PowerShell.
  • Experience with the ShareGate migration tool.
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
  • Existing Public Trust or higher clearance.
