We are looking for SME/Training Specialist (Technology) (Min 11 Yrs exp) (Hybrid 1-3 days on site) (LOCAL Candidates highly preferred) (Webcam interviews) POSITION DESCRIPTION DIRECT CLIENT Position Number of positions: 1 Length: 17 Months + Location: Washington, DC 20002 Immediate interviews either Webcam or In-person interviews Please note that this position requires 1-3 days onsite and rest REMOTE. 11-15 years of experience. Training Specialist with excellent interpersonal skills and strong abilities in designing, conducting and implementing training and educational programs. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external users of a Program Management Information System for the client. The candidate must have strong written, communication, and presentation skills while being well versed in teaching individuals how to use system applications. The trainer will be responsible for writing training plans as well as conducting training sessions with end users. The Trainer will ensure proper training material is created and delivered timely. Key Areas of Responsibility
- Create a training plan.
- Define the training goals and critical success factors.
- Create training documents.
- Serves as an instructor during training sessions with end users.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Experience creating training material
- Experience creating a training plan while defining goals and critical success factors.
- Experience as a Training Specialist / Trainer preferably within software development or IT system training.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Must possess strong interpersonal and information gathering skills and the ability to relate well to others at all levels throughout the organization
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and successfully manage competing/changing priorities
- Advanced MS Office skill set to include Word and PowerPoint.
- Skills using graphics and images within training documentation.
- Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills (incl. remote / MSTEAMs), problem-solving skills and both verbal and written communication skill
- Knowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniques
- Exceptional organization skills, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a team and have attention to detail
- Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design and e-learning platforms
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data
- Experience developing training documentation to support new system implementations including development of system operations guides and manuals.
- Experience identifying end user and operational training requirements.
- Experience developing end user training material and conducting train-the-trainer sessions.
