SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Have a passion for leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning skills to drive the successful adoption of business use cases in Amtrak projects? As an AI/ML Intern at Amtrak, you will learn and experience the foundational business use cases and make tangible impact on a wide range of complex, transformational projects in a real-world rail industry environment. You will work under close supervision of a project/program/technical manager and in collaboration with all levels of stakeholders: from department leaders, to project/program managers, business analysts, and functional leads. Individuals in this role use data science knowledge and analytical skills to support assigned projects to develop proof of concept in various machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive procurement.Key Responsibilities:- This intern position will be for [COTS IT - Procurement]
- Collect, consolidate, and document business requirements on Data Science and use cases from various procure to pay and supply chain processes
- Develop required AI models for tasks related to procure to pay and supply chain processes in anchor platforms using Ariba on Demand, SAP ERP and S/4 HANA and conclude to deliver a proof of concept.
- Create and maintain required project requirements and design documents and status reportsin accordance with Amtrak Project Management Standards and applicable regulations.
- Currently pursuing Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering Information Technology with a concentration in Data Science and Analytics
- Solid communication skills with ability to convey information to others
- Programming Languages like Python, Java, Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Industry Knowledge in Machine Learning, Web Development, Computer Vision, Data Science, Cloud Computing
- Tools & Technologies like C, Git, MATLAB, R, HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Linux, AWS
- Other Skills Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project)
