Description We are seeking a Sr. Grants Accountant to join our team in the Healthcare industry in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for handling financial records, conducting account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities Oversee the process of account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Ensure all financial records are accurately maintained and updated. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial analysis and reporting tasks. Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded. Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate. Handle contractual billing processes and ensure all invoices are sent and received in a timely manner. Manage the application and utilization of government grants, ensuring all funds are appropriately used and accounted for. Conduct regular journal entries, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.Requirements Proven Grants Accounting experience. Excellent knowledge and experience in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Familiarity with General Ledger management and Journal Entries processing. Experience in performing Month End Close activities. Understanding of Government Grants and Contractual Billing processes. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial data interpretation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
